DIY service: the right oil and filters for your engine

The service is the most important maintenance for engine longevity. Sticking to the manufacturer's intervals prevents early wear and high consumption.

Choose oil with the viscosity and specifications (ACEA, manufacturer approvals) listed in the handbook: the wrong oil can damage the turbo and the particulate filter.

Replace the oil filter at every oil change. Check the air filter every 15,000–30,000 km and replace the cabin filter once a year, or sooner if the ventilation smells musty.
